Researched and designed an infographic visualizing the life cycle of a star—from atomic fusion to black hole formation
Overview
This infographic was created as part of an information design college assignment at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, illustrating the life cycle of a star—from atomic fusion to the formation of a black hole. The project was recognized for its clarity and design quality, earning a large-format print display in the science building at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Research and design
I referenced NASA’s stellar evolution data and academic research on nuclear fusion and gravitational physics. I translated these findings into a structured, visually compelling narrative using principles of information hierarchy and infographic design best practices.
For visual direction, I drew inspiration from Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell, adopting their approach to bold color palettes, clean vector graphics, and intuitive diagram flow. These choices allowed the piece to remain educational while maintaining a visually engaging, modern aesthetic.
